Privacy
Two different things collect data here: this website, and the product. They are described separately because they behave differently.
This website
Analytics run on PostHog, hosted in the EU. Each visit records the page, referrer, approximate location derived from the IP address, browser and device type, which sections of the page were scrolled into view, which buttons were clicked, and which FAQ entries were opened.
The purpose is to learn which parts of the page answer a question and which are ignored. A cookie is set so repeat visits are recognised as the same browser. No advertising network receives any of it, and it is never sold.
The product
When you connect a Stripe account, ActiveRetry reads and stores:
- failed recurring invoices, their amounts, currencies and decline reasons
- the subscription behind each invoice, for the plan and billing interval
- the customer name and email address the recovery email is addressed to
This is your data about your customers. ActiveRetry processes it to run the recovery you configure and to compute your figures. It is never used to build a profile that follows a person between merchants, never pooled with another merchant’s data, and never sold.
We do not receive or store card numbers. The security page covers what the Stripe connection actually grants.
Who else processes it
- Stripe — the source of the payment data, and where a customer updates their card
- Cloudflare — serves this website
- PostHog (EU) — website analytics
How long it is kept
Recovery data is kept while your account is open, because a recovery rate needs the history it was computed from. Disconnecting a Stripe account stops all collection for it. Ask us to delete what remains and we will.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or EU you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to how it is processed, or complain to your data protection authority. If you are a customer of a merchant using ActiveRetry, that merchant is the controller of your data — contact them first, and we will help them answer.
